          IWEX - Sustainability live Exhibition 2008
Peter Savage Limited will be exhibiting at the 2008 International Water & Effluent Exhibition. This exhibition is incorporated within the Sustainability Live exhibition which also includes Environment Services Expo, Environment Technology Expo, Brownfield Expo & the National Energy Management Exhibition.

In 2007 Sustainabilitylive! brought together 450 exhibitors and around 7,000 visitors, making it a very successful platform to do business. Apart from a line up of top brand suppliers, Sustainability live! 2008 will see awards, networking and an extensive features programme including high level keynotes, master classes, and seminars over 3 days.

Traditionally iron manhole covers and frames have been the preferred choice by contractors due to the robust mechanical properties and excellent life span of the iron material. But in the modern world there is a greater need for project designs which boast more aesthetically pleasing features such as block or stone paving.

Projects utilising block or stone paving more often use mild steel covers as they are easier to pave up to than their iron counterparts.

Groundworks contractor Peter Smith Site Services opted to utilise the revolutionary ‘Revolve’ iron manhole cover on their project for Wynbrook Homes in Lincoln as its unique square to round design allows for a truly professional finish in a fraction of the time of a normal installation.

 

The two main features on this cover which has been specially developed by manufacturer Peter Savage Limited are the square frame and the circular opening with a positioning spigot. The square frame makes slabbing up to the cover considerably easier as the slabs can be cut to suit the profile of the frame whilst the circular opening with the universal positioning spigot locates directly onto a circular polypropylene inspection chamber dramatically reducing installation times.

The ‘Revolve’ (product code KD30) additionally features a full single seal and is BSI Kitemarked to BS EN124-B125 for third party accreditation making it ideal for driveways, pavements, town centres and pedestrianisation projects.

S.L.K. - Peter Savage Limited have improved their 600x450mm slide out pavior infill cover and frame. The unit is now produced with integrated, secure lifting keys (S.L.K.). The main feature is an extremely strong steel looped key design. This design enables the use of a prising bar on covers that may become jammed by debris getting between the cover and frame over time, and also if required enables site mechanical lift.
